When We Are Closed
A doctor is on-call for urgent attention out of hours on 0118 936 5390. The calls are taken by EBPC. EBPC is a mutual company commissioned by the Berkshire East Primary Care Trust (which covers Bracknell Forest, Slough, Windsor, Ascot and Maidenhead) to provide urgent out-of-hours medical care when your doctors surgery is closed.
EBPC operates between 6.30pm and 8am weekdays and from 6.30pm on Friday until 8am on Monday. It also operates during Bank Holidays, and occasionally at other times so that Ascot Medical Centre staff can take part in educational study days.
NHS Direct
In the case of urgent need when the practice is closed you can call NHS Direct (0845 4647) to speak to a triage nurse. Your needs will be assessed and advice offered or arrangements made for you to see a doctor.
Please do not ask to see a doctor out of hours unless you genuinely cannot wait until the surgery re-opens.
Call 999 in an emergency. Chest pains and / or shortness of breath constitute an emergency.
